You are definintely correct. Dad2Amara lost his job recently too due to the economy and has spent the summer watching our daughter. And while he now is doing more laundry and dishes, before being laid off, Dad2Amara was on garbage duty, carpool duty, and bathroom cleaning. You’re right – I think an impromptu note is needed!

Ahhhhh… the dishes! My most dreaded chore! I wish I could even find a way to repay my hubby for all that he has done this past week. It’s really so easy to get caught up in ourselves that we forget to appreciate what others, especially our spouses and significant others, do for us.

I think this falls in the line with the 5 Love Languages. I certainly try to show my appreciation for all my husband’s work with his love language. & then he reciprocates in mine. like doing the dishes (which I never do anyway…)

What a wonderful article. I agree and agree again. : )
So many of us get caught up in our busy lives and we forget to thank people for the very important little things they do for us. And appreciating the little things we do for each other makes my family, especially my husband, so much healthier and happier.
