Cassie, I was the same way. I just couldn't get out of bed during my pregnancies. Even if I had good days, I was still hooked up to an iv, which made chores almost impossible.

Hubby was understanding and very thoughtful, and he did the best he could. No vacuuming, dusting, or clean-up got done. But at least he tried to keep up with laundry, dishes, and trash. It was funny to see how different the house looked during those times.

But... when Mom gets a cold or fever, or some weird bug, Mom has to keep trucking on. Something little like that and I feel like I just have to push through...

I got really sick when Reagan was about 8 weeks old. I called a friend and my husband took her and my son there for the whole day. I recovered much more quickly because I didn't have to worry about them.

Just ask! :)

This actually ruined my marriage. I had morning sickness really bad with all pregnancies. I actually had hyperemesis gravidarum and was hospitalized for it. Needless to say, I couldn't do dishes and laundry the way I normally did. Hubby didn't like that.

Now when I'm sick, I just let my kids ransack the house while I recuperate on the couch. Chasing after them will not make me better so I do what I can do get healthy quick so I can resume my normal mommy duties.

When mom is sick, you make sure you pamper her, so she'll pamper you when you're sick.
