What baby item can you not live without?

I can safely say I can live without most baby items but…there is one I cannot live without and that is the binky. Both my children had to have a binky when they were babies. They loved it and didn’t give it up until age 2 1/2 almost 3! However, I don’t like all the drama that comes with the binky, like losing it, dropping it on the floor, having to get up during the middle of the night when it falls out of the crib, or trying to make them give up their binky addiction when they are toddlers. :)

My “can’t-live-without-it” baby item was the swing with Darah. Oh my goodness, that girl LOVED her swing!

My other “can’t live without it” baby item was the Mighty-Tite seatbelt tightener. We don’t use it with our new vehicle since it has a latch system, but if you’re using a seat-belt to fasten car seats in, this is A MUST!!! Here it is…. http://www.amazon.com/Sunshine-Kids-Mighty-Tite/dp/B000056JHP

This time around I have to agree with Kristi. I can not live without the binky. Kara loves it and uses it all the time. My two older boys never did take the binky and I never knew what I was missing. Kara is so good so I think it is because she is a girl and she uses a binky. :)

Caleb was such an easy baby there really isn’t anything I can list to be honest. He’s so adaptable we didn’t have any issues with him. Ava on the other hand isn’t like her brother. That girl doesn’t even like the Baby Bjorn. Now tell me what baby doesn’t like to be carried around in a Baby Bjorn? Sheesh….I have a high maintenance girl! Because my baby girl is high maintenance, the one product I can’t live without is the bouncer. Ava loves the bouncer. She loves being propped up and checking out the scene. She’s a happy camper sitting in her throne watching me cook dinner every night, and I’m a happy camper being able to cook without any interruptions. LOVE IT!

Great question! I would have to say the papasan chair….the one that vibrates and plays music. Jackson pretty much slept in that thing the 1st 2 weeks of his life. He hated the bassinet and only slept in this. It saved our lives.

    Also, Jackson’s binky. :) I guess that’s pretty popular.

The bouncer! Caleb and Andrew loved their kick n play bouncers. With two of them one was always in there. That is the only baby item I wanted two of. I can still remember the day they figured out how to kick and make the lights and music go. They laughed so hard.

Oh my gosh….I don’t know why I didn’t answer the Baby Bjorn?!?! Connor LIVED in that thing whenever I was awake for the first 4 months. Thanks Heidi for letting us borrow yours! I can’t believe I momentarily forgot those days with the Baby Bjorn!!!

The Ultimate Crib Sheet- a thick, soft, waterproof pad that snaps around the crib bars. Just take it off if there is a leak and put baby right back to bed on regular crib sheet which is underneath. Also great during potty training time. No need to actually go through the trouble of changing the sheet . I have wash and dried mine for 7 years now and its still in great condition! Saves your mattress, too! Highly recommended!

I have to say the swing when JT was tiny and now the jumper and of course the paci! I wouldn’t have been able to do any thing without at least one of these things!

    Hey April,
Thanks for sharing, I was having a “can’t live without it” problem as well. I read about http://www.bye-bye-binky.com (not only was it free, but they didn’t even ask for my email, thank goodness). We followed the poke and cut steps and three days later she was done, and the decision was hers. She even refused a binky at daycare yesterday! I tried to give her one during a major meltdown last night, but it seems even I have lost one of my best soothing tools (lol, it’s all good though). Thanks again for your blog. Kind Regards, Jill
